Mobile developers Training program by Google launched in India.
Search giant Google has launched itsAndroid Skilling programme in India. Through the programme, the company aims to provide training to about two million mobile developers in the country over the next three years.
The specially designed programme, focused on Android fundamentals, is led by an instructor. It will be made available across public and private universities, and training institutes of the National Skill Development Corporation of India. The in-person training module integrated into the course curriculum will also be introduced within this calendar year, at no additional fees.
The Android fundamentals course will also be available free of charge on National Programme on TechnologyEnhanced Learning NPTEL (an initiative of the IITs and IISc) starting July 18, 2016, as part of its online Mobile Computing course.
Google has also introduced a job-oriented Associate Android Developer Certification — a performance-based exam that will help successful candidates get entry-level Android development jobs in the Industry.
Post training, aspiring candidates can log on to Google Developer training website and take the certification exam after paying a fee of Rs 6,500.
